This is no news to anyone that is well-versed in the marijuana legalization movement. But I do feel debunking the gateway theory is extremely important because a lot of people are completely unaware that there is no scientific evidence to support it. This lie is still taught to children and is often repeated. I have even had "discussions" with like-minded people that believe in the gateway theory. Teachers and parents were all taught reefer madness and they repeat it to their kids. It's going to take a long time and a lot of work to undo the damage that the gateway theory has done to the cause of legalizing marijuana.
